Miss Louise Brooks

trashcitydublin:

Trash City are sad to announce the passing of Kearney Barton, one of the greatest producer/engineers that has ever lived.

The same way Sam Philips created the sound of Memphis with his recording studio and Sun label, Kearney Barton captured the wild sound of the Pacific Northwest.

Seemingly always recording IN THE RED, Barton gave teen punks like The Sonics, The Wailers, Rocky and the Riddlers, The Frantics and many many more their raucous, badder than bad sound.

RIP Kearney Barton.

Fuzz Face clone, with Mayer / Hendrix mod.  The pedal case was painted by Jai Sewell / Shameless Hussie, I did in the inside and I gotta tell ya, it sounds better than it looks.

“The photo was taken in Kathmandu, the capital of Nepal and is of two children who lived nearby to the junkyard with their grandmother. Every day they searched the junkyard for something useful that they can resell for money so they can buy food. If they don’t find anything their grandmother blamed them seriously. Unfortunately, they had found nothing for a few days, the little boy felt very hungry. I gave them some money and a biscuit after taking this photo. But who knows who will help them afterwards.”
